Our Mission Statement

Hermann Area Regional & Economic Sustainability (HARES), is committed to working in partnership with our neighbors in creating sustainable communities by conducting educational workshops, by connecting area food producers & consumers and by promoting the establishment of area regional & economic practices in a cooperative, mutually beneficial environment.

The HARES website concept was the brainchild of Patti Ryan, Joey Los & Stephanie Hibdon; 3 friends that wanted to assist the local community in becoming more resilient. Their partnership is represented by the 3 green leaves on the HARES logo.
This site was created to provide an easily accessible source to information & resources that would contribute toward this area's regional sustainability & encourage economic resilience.
Targeted "local" audience is within a 60 mile radius of Hermann, MO but all are welcomed & encouraged to use this site!
