Pot luck Gathering
Wed.  FEB. 17th 6:30 McKittrick.
Featuring Endless Summer winery tasting strawberry wine from Pieter Los' strawberries and more!   Kick off for 2016,
share in the excitement of HARES
Spring is peeking out from under the snow today.   Planted one pound of wildflower seeds from Missouri Wildflower Nursery last week, hopefully not too late, the snow may help them germinate can't wait to see.   Our first food circle meeting of the year will be next Wednesday February 17th at the McKittrick Farmers Mercantile.   Pot luck supper at 6:30 as always all are welcome, try to bring something locally raised, this is our LOCAL food circle after all.   Our presentation at this gathering will be a recap of the inaugural HARES  event our Life Skills Symposium, introducing future events, and the conference I recently attended the Missouri Organic Association.

I was discussing the food circle with my friends Stephanie and Patti, fellow HARES instigators, and we came up with a great idea, a food circle cookbook.   We always label the dishes at the potluck so everyone knows what is in them.   Now, let’s take it a step further if we each try to bring in our recipe, or email it to me ahead of time, we can at the end of the year have a fantastic cook book.   Won't that be a nice gift for the holidays and an inspiration for next year.

Here  is a schedule of the food circle meetings for 2016.  Presenters to be announced.  Print it out and put it on your refrigerator.
